Etymology:
Syriac origin, "Hadat", meaning "new", in reference to "new village"Overlooking the Holy Valley of Qannoubine and surrounded by a beautiful cedar forest, the village of Hadath el-Jebbeh is located in a unique natural environment where the various hikes allow a total immersion in nature. Historical monuments are also of particular importance as the village was established in the 5th century. Thus stands, in its heart, the majestic church of Saint Daniel with its charming square, built between the 11th and 12th century on the ruins of a monastery dedicated to the prophet Elijah. Several cafés and restaurants run along the central street where the animation is in full swing during the festival and parties held in summer.
